Links to game reviews for each game. Should be able to set it up automatically with minimal effort, I would believe. I think the key to this would be figuring out how Bing concatenates their game reviews onto one page.
Take a look at http://www.bing.com/videogames
Or, an active area where our gamertag is provided and the site can automatically gather our history (i.e. games we’ve played or own or have scores for) and match us up with other users on the site who have the same games so that we can contact each other for some xbox live gaming.
I dunno, those may be idealistic type suggestions, but I’ll get back to you later if I come up with anything else.

I wouldn’t mind putting up links to bing or metacritic. On the other hand linking to different games sites directly would be very hard to do automatically. Bing probably does this during it’s web crawling. I think Metacritic has to have reviews submitted by users.
I have been investigating getting achievements, gamer history and other items but the big hurdle is logging in to xbox.com. None of the above pages are available without logging in. Until I solve this I can’t get any info other than the gamercard I already use for the My Offers.

i think a rating system (stars, thumbs up, etc.) would be nice. maybe make it easier to gauge how good a deal is and also allow users who don’t have much to comment to still contribute.
Spylon said on April 2, 2012
I agree, this is a great idea.
Would this be on the deal roundups or each individual drop?
I am leaning to having ratings on both.
I do want to require site membership to vote, otherwise the rating could be rigged.

oh, and is it possible to put a forums tab on the top? its just not very noticeable on the side (well, to me anyway.)
Spylon said on April 2, 2012
Yes, I’ll get to this soon. I need to clean up the forums they have inherited the site theme and it makes them hard to use. I may create a theme for the forums and then add a link on the top.

As suggested (;D xp) I suggest to find a method to display the delisted items correctly (display or not display) in the table charts =P
Also we need to talk about this Indie Game thingy again…since they are not trackable, but I think the work done on CAG could be implentetd here somehow…
Last point for now would be the “style” of the site it is kinda…well…simple, I think many could overlook this great site just by the looks of it…I just got here due pure luck by searching for some deals a while ago and some site refered to this one…

I have added update charts and tables with delisted information to my to do list.
The indie games are tack able. I just choose not to track them as there are a lot of them and they would slow down the scans. I could scan it once a week but I wouldn’t want to scan them every time a regular scan happens.
I have updated the style of the site with a new theme. It is still simple but I do like minimalistic web sites. How would you improve the site style?

Ahh and forgot to mention the option to implement deals that aren’t for the same country? Just read my comment on Half Minute Hero, don’t know how/if it is possible to gather all information for all deals in every country but it would make sense for some due hard censorship and getting substitutes and such hum…
Spylon said on April 8, 2012
Again just like the indie things this is all a time thing. If I scan other countries I would slow down any updates. I’m working on improving the scanner and I’ll revisit this when I have a faster way to scan.
I do not like how the site is missing the Easter sale that is only for Europe.

Great ideas guys and gals, keep them coming. No limit on number of entries. I’ll respond to each after the giveaway.

One more idea…improve the search option, I was trying to find MagnaCarta 2 a while ago and only typed “magna” it doesn’t gave me any results…however by searching for half minute hero…I only typed “half” and the game was found…don’t know how exactly the search is working here but I think it needs to be tweaked a bit…
Spylon said on April 8, 2012
The search is all done with Google custom search. I typed magnacarta and found the game. I’ll look at the Google settings I have and see if I can tweak something.

I actually like the site design, but I’m somewhat of a minimalist.

Is there a way to search for just 400.800 and 1200 point games seperatly?
Spylon said on April 8, 2012
For now you can use the following link:
http://xbldb.com/new-offers?game_type=all&offer_type=game&status=all&min_price=400&max_price=400
You can use the filter for the price point/game type you are interested in.
I have it on my to do list to update the browse pages with a similar filter.
